On the other hand, “guys” does not imply fathers, specifically.

i would maybe accept that as their excuse if the title of the email was ‘father’s day sale’ or something
or if it were mentioned at all in this email
i open my email to see “Games for Guys on Sale”
they fucking emailed this to me
Oh yeah, they’re idiots. But there had to have been some thought process to arrive at this ad. And maybe it was:
“Hey… father’s day is coming up! We should have a sale.”
“But why limit it to fathers! Let’s advertise to ALL MEN!”
“GENIUS!”
And they patted each other on the back and went to a Hooters to celebrate their ingenuity.
Also, “Games for Guys” is alliteration. And we all know that the highest forms of marketing have some form of alliteration.
